We will never turn a blind eye on a cat in need, but we cannot do it alone.

We are facing a stark reality; we have reached our full capacity at Villa Kitty, but the number of cats and kittens in need of help continues to increase.

Our hospital wards are full to the brim with patients suffering from cat flu, giardia and panleukopenia. All extremely infectious diseases that claim the lives of too many cats and kittens every year.

Meanwhile, we continue to receive countless Whatsapp messages, calls and private messages from desperate rescuers around Bali, many are tourists staying in hotels and villas who are not allowed to have cats with them and often need immediate assistance. Most of these calls come in at night, when our veterinarian staff have left for the day.

Whenever we receive a call late at night, we reach out to the Sunset Vet team in Kuta or Ubud and ask for their urgent help.

Both Sunset Vet clinics have the ability to do blood tests and x-rays. This is extremely important for cats who have suffered fractures or dislocations due to road traffic accidents and other circumstances, as well as for cats who suffer from severe skin conditions and blood parasites.

Cases such as sweet Ponzio (pictured below) are heartbreaking to witness. This sweet baby was confined in a filthy cage, so small he could not turn around. The tourists who came across Ponzio at a local market were in tears and shock.

They immediately contacted Villa Kitty and asked for help. It was late at night and Ponzio needed urgent medical treatment, so we sent him to Sunset Vet in Kuta to receive life-saving care.

Sadly, Ponzio is just one of the many cats who are reported to us each and every day by rescuers, both local and tourists, who have nowhere else to turn. Our commitment to helping cats and kittens has never been greater and that is why we need your support.

Since January 1st 2023, a record number of 1,011 cats and kittens in desperate need of help have come through our doors. We will never turn a blind eye on a cat in need, but we cannot do it alone.

By making a kind donation today, you will make a crucial contribution to help us continue to provide medical care for cats like Ponzio, and ensure they receive veterinary treatment, blood tests, x-rays, nourishment, shelter and loving care.

Please, help us continue to care for the lives of sick, injured and abandoned cats and kittens of Bali. Please make your urgent donation today.

Thank you for always being there for Bali cats in need.
