Will you help Umina?

Will you please spare a moment today to help a cat like Umina (pictured above)?

Sweet Umina has a heartbreaking story. She had been begging for food in the gardens of a homestay, where she encountered people every day, but no one seemed to care enough to ensure she received medical attention for a wound on her stomach. Umina must have been suffering in silence, hoping for an animal lover to stop by.

A young couple, tourists to Bali, noticed this open wound on her stomach that Umina was constantly licking. They could not believe she had been in these gardens for so long.

Thankfully, her rescuers reached out to Villa Kitty, who immediately sent her to Sunset Vet in Ubud for urgent treatment. Tests showed the mass on Umina’s stomach was a mammary tumour, which needed surgery the next morning to stop the infection spreading.

Umina received life-saving surgery just a few days ago and the tumour was successfully removed, together with all her mammary glands. She is safe now, but she will continue to need intensive medical care until she can come to Villa Kitty Foundation to convalesce until she is ready to find a forever home.

The total cost of Umina’s surgery and ongoing treatment is estimated to be around IDR 11 million ($734 USD). Your help is crucial to ensure Umina receives the medical care she very much needs and deserves. Umina is only five years old - she has her whole life in front of her.

Will you please make a kind donation to help cover Umina’s ongoing treatment?

Your kind donation will not only help Umina, but it will also ensure that more homeless, injured, sick and abandoned cats like her receive the care and support they deserve. You are a lifeline for cats like Umina - please consider a kind gift today.

Thank you for always being there for Bali cats in need.

With warm regards,
